Opera adds Free ‘VPN’ to its browser

Opera browsers now offer free and unlimited Virtual Private Network to its users.

Krystian Kolondra Opera’s Chief engineer wrote on the company’s blog  “By adding a free, unlimited VPN directly into the browser, no additional download or extensions from an unknown third-party provider are necessary,”

It is important to understand a truly virtual private network currently be fully achievable outside of the browser. Opera does over protection to your browsing but not all of your traffic. For instance all your DNS queries your browser if making requesting could be visible to, say your local proxy server. Pluggings data could be another traffic visible traffic.

Opera is certainly going towards a browser based VPN.
